Faces Only a Mother could Love...

I got to work with a Clear Scraps HOME album and Scrapworks Magpie line. when my friend Kris shot these photos it was a natural fit. She loves her album!

The Emily Dickenson poem on the back says -

If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain. If I can ease
one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.

Clearly...

I have one more clear album to post over at SBO, here are some of my favorite pages - I did a year in review of 2007. I added some tags and other random kind of pages in between the clear ones. I like being able to see through one page and get a glimpse of something interesting coming up.

Happyness

Ever have one of those days? Kinda tired, sad days? i think its the change in schedule and not having anything to look forward to. I feel like shopping. When the going gets tough, i go shopping. except thats a really bad idea if you have no money to buy things. So i'm sitting here feeling kind of un-grounded and un-happy.

If i'm to go shopping, I need to think of ways to make money. I just get an email telling about a gas-jacker. It had enough detail I think I could do it and save some money. HA! just kidding! but geez, $50 to fill up takes a bite out of the scrappin supplies.

And that brings me to one of my all-time favorite movies. When you think you got it bad, remember how this man made himself into something through just about all obstacles. I could cry just thinking about this movie. agh.

Here's Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness...

Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things.....
Our challenges this week are a goodbye celebration for the current DT (like me). We are challenging folks to scrap using our favorite things.
My list is to use
  • white card stock,
  • bright patterned paper,
  • journaling tag,
  • stitching/faux stitching,
  • and flowers.
yep. thats me. :-)
Take a look - i love that i used the Heidi Swapp clear butterfly and made it 3-D by heating it slightly with my heat gun. It wrinkled right up for a fluttery effect. yeh.

a fun card made with vellum. one of the first things i did as a non-CM/non-SU scrapbooker was to make some paper flowers like this. I've always loved the look, and had fun putting this card together. i love the vellum on vellum look.

Feeling a little creative these days

I've been inspired by Betsy Veldman with these cards. She has such a beautiful way with texture. And i've loved this paper ever since it came out. We had an assignment at SBO in the latest Newsletter to use Felt Fusion. And there were some awesome projects coming from it! I kept playing with the TI paper, and came up with these.
